Honor your father and your mother:
Exodus 20:12 Honor your father and mother; that your days may be long upon the land which Yahuweh thy God gives you.
Ephesians 6:1-3 Children, obey your parents in Yahuweh: for this is right. 2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; 3 That it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.
God is in control, your parents are from God.
Exodus 4:11 And Yahuweh said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? Or who makes the dumb, or deaf, or seeing, or the blind? Have not I Yahuweh?
Deuteronomy 33:39 See now that I, even I, am He, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of My hand.
Exodus 21:17 And he that curse his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
Proverbs 20:20 Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness.
Psalm 111:7-8 The works of His hands are verity (truth, stability, certainty) and judgment; all His commandments are sure. 8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.

Buy these scriptures and more we see that God wants children to look on parents with respect. In old age we are to support our parents without question to their well being, no matter the material cost. God knows your situation, your trust is to Him the most High.
The fear of Yahuweh is to our relationship to in-laws as well as blood parents.
 If a parent is wrong, or bad, pray for them that God may change them but above all honor your father and mother. You don't have the right to insult, abuse, or chastise a parent. God gave you what you have, and maybe what you deserve to prove your devotion to Him, to curse a parent is to curse God.
God will cleanse His people by fire. Isaiah 1:25
Fear Yahuweh this is the beginning of wisdom. Psalm 111:10
